About the event

Sci Fight is a quarterly science comedy debate from Melbourne, with your definitely qualified host Alanta Colley (citation needed).

This August and July we're on a National Tour!! Looking forward to seeing you Adelaide!!

This round's topic: 'Scientists Should Rule the World'.

Society has a lot of problems, mostly caused by whoever is in charge. Kings, generals, bankers, priests, they've all had their chance, and they've all made a right royal mess of things. Or a democratic mess, more recently.

We need leadership that's rational, evidence based, and clearly labelled. It's time the scientists had their chance to ruin things for everyone. It's time the scientists ruled the world!

After all, nothing puts a populace at ease like lab coats, rubber gloves, and sensibly coloured pie charts. Imagine it! Double blinded democracy. Peer-reviewed policy. Never really knowing if you're in the control group or not. So civilised!

Plus, scientists have a great track record. As long as you forget that fling with leaded petrol. And the atom bomb. And sending various pets on a one way ticket into space.

Yep, other than that, science is 100% problem free! Plus, have you seen the opposition?

Cast your vote at Sci Fight, where our caucus of scientists and comedians try to win you over with strange facts, good comedy, and no gerrymandering!
